The function of the elastomeric bearing pad bridge rubber is to minimize damage to the bridge structure caused by shifting in one of the invisible bridge structures and rotations that must be accommodated to protect the structure and infrastructure in bridge construction and also function to provide security that accommodates various movements and rotation as well as supporting the weight of the structure and to transmit the load from the top span to the lower support concrete. Rotation occurs due to the deck passing the load to the bottom of the bridge. And some relative rotations occur in the composite section due to the different properties of concrete and steel.
