Lead Rubber Bearing

Is a type of bridge bearing rubber that has an important role and function in stabilizing the structure and construction of the bridge from various movements that may occur.

The use of this LRB is common in Indonesia. Designed with rubber and steel bearings which have been laminated with steel plates for attachment to the structure. This type of bearing rubber is very elastic laterally but very stiff vertically. High vertical stiffness is achieved by having a thin layer of rubber reinforced by plate steel.

These lead rubber bearings are made from natural rubber with hardness from 45 to 55, more flexible than elastomeric bearing bearings.

In general the LRB surface is round but can also be made square made with more than Lead Core.
