Slab on pile is a structure that has a very important role. Also known as stepping plate. It is a concrete construction on the approaching road at the end of the bridge lip (oprit) which functions to even out the load due to vehicles on the bridge's rim, thereby reducing soil pressure against the abutment wall. Slab on pile of course requires a rubber sheet or rubber sheet as a cushion.
